Reading journal printable with a book tracker, a bookshelf to color in and a book review template, for readers who want to remember every book without ever feeling behind.
Most of us forget a book within a year of reading it. Not the feeling of it, but the title, the character we loved and the line we read twice. A reading journal is how you keep those, and this one has no targets you can fail and nothing that counts missed days.
The Reading Journal logs every finished book in one line with its stars, and gives it a spine to color in on a bookshelf of 52. There is a gentle reading goal, a to-be-read list, a 25-square reading challenge, a book review page, quick reviews, a page for the lines you want to keep, book club notes, and your year in books. Print, ebook, audiobook and rereads all count. Printable and fillable, A4 and US Letter.
What's inside
32 pages in 4 sections, with one job on every page.
- Plan a little · why keep a reading journal, my reading year, to be read, and a 25-square reading challenge
- Track it · books read 1 to 52, the bookshelf, the year month by month, a series tracker, and 4 bookmarks to cut out
- Remember it · book review, quick reviews, lines worth keeping, book club notes, and put down, happily
- Look back · my year in books, and the top 10
- To close · the journal on one page, spares, and a note to keep
Every book, remembered
Some years you fill both log pages and some years you finish four books, and both are good reading years. Read what you love, at the speed you read, and write a line or two whenever a book ends.
The book titles shown in the images are made up for the example.
Every page is neurodivergent friendly by default: one job per page, plain words, room to write, and no targets or streaks.
Soft systems for loud minds.

The small print
This is a digital download, so nothing is posted and nothing is shipped. Files are ready the moment payment clears and stay in your account forever. For personal use only, please: these files may not be resold or redistributed. Colors can look a little different on screen and in print. Made by a parent, not a doctor or a lawyer, so this is not medical, psychological or legal advice. It is somewhere to put your own thinking.
Digital files cannot be returned once they are downloaded, so we try to be generous before you buy: full page counts, real page close ups, and honest listings. If a file is broken or wrong, email us and we will make it right.
