Christmas planner printable for couples and families, for the December that one person has been carrying alone.
Here is the thing nobody says out loud. One of you is holding all of it in your head right now. The sizes, the dates, the cards, the teacher gift, who is allergic to what, the day the mail has to go. None of it is on a calendar. It has never been written down anywhere. And the other one of you is not lazy and is not pretending: you cannot share a list you have never seen.
The Holidays Truce is the one holiday planner that needs two grown ups to fill it in. It starts with an audit you each complete in separate rooms and then compare at one table, about 30 minutes that change the whole month. Then you sign a truce, split the work, and December runs on two mechanics you can hold in your hand.
What's inside
83 pages, 70 of them to write on, in nine sections:
- The audit · both of you fill it in apart, then compare. The load map and what your score means
- The truce · the agreement you both sign, the token rules, the tokens, the split wheel
- Gifting · the gift radar, the one ceiling, the running total, the fairness check, the card list, the wrapping station
- The table · every meal in the whole run, the bake list, the safe plate, the Christmas Eve box, the leftovers plan
- The people · who is coming and when they leave, the guest sheet, the scripts, a page for each child
- The good bits · games, the letter to Santa, films, music, small things daily, what to wear, photos, giving away, traditions
- Too much · the quiet plan, the signals, the exits, the door signs, the recovery day, the grown up reset
- The days · the December calendar, the December map, the run sheet, the opening plan, the timings cards
- After · the debrief, the best bits, December wins, next year's note, the keepsake
Half of it was never yours to carry
Nobody is grading December. Nobody is coming to inspect it. The only people who will remember this one are already in the house, and what they will remember is whether the grown ups were in the room or in the kitchen. Write the list down, split it in half, and go be in the room.
Soft systems for loud minds.

The small print
This is a digital download, so nothing is posted and nothing is shipped. Files are ready the moment payment clears and stay in your account forever. For personal use only, please: these files may not be resold or redistributed. Colors can look a little different on screen and in print. Made by a parent, not a doctor or a lawyer, so this is not medical, psychological or legal advice. It is somewhere to put your own thinking.
Digital files cannot be returned once they are downloaded, so we try to be generous before you buy: full page counts, real page close ups, and honest listings. If a file is broken or wrong, email us and we will make it right.
